This Week's MIP Digest
Porn Literacy in MA schools?, Abigail Shrier explains why girls become boys, Lexington's got some 'splaing to do, and more.
Here’s the weekly MIP Digest!
The MIP Digest is a regular feature with all the great information that has been posted in the MIP Facebook group during the previous week and sent directly to your inbox. It won’t capture all of the interesting comments and conversations that happen in the Facebook group, but it will include the highlights and provide a quick overview of the content, in case you missed it.
First, here are the posts from our Admins:
Public comment on DESE's Sex Ed Framework ends August 28th!
(Editor’s note: by the time you read this, the public comment period may have already ended. But, we think the information about “media literacy” is still important to share. So even if public comment has ended, read on!)
Summer's winding down quick, and so is the public comment period for DESE's draft Comprehensive Health and Physical Education Framework.
Every week since the public comment period began, we have been highlighting one objectionable area of the framework and providing you with an example of curricula that would align with the Framework.
This week we talked about "media literacy," an innocent-sounding term that, in CSE-world, sometimes actually means Porn Literacy.
Porn Literacy brings instruction about pornography into the classroom under the guise of teaching kids that what they see in pornography isn't real life.
Here’s where we think Porn Literacy is hiding in DESE’s draft Framework, in standards for grades 6-8 and grades 9-12:
Healthy Relationships [6.3.HR]
4. Analyze the impact of technology and social media on relationships (e.g., use of smartphones, sharing relationship information, GPS tracking). (pg. 33)
Gender, Sexual Orientation, and Sexual Health [6.5.GS]
3. Analyze internal and external influences (e.g., personal values and beliefs, peers, media, technology, family, society, community, culture) that have an impact on an individual’s sexual behaviors. (pg. 36)
Gender, Sexual Orientation, and Sexual Health [9.5.GS]
1. Analyze a variety of internal and external influences (e.g., peers, media, family, society, community, culture) on a person’s attitudes, beliefs, and expectations about sexual behavior and identity. (pg. 44)
These standards don’t say “porn,” but they don’t need to. If the teachers are using any of the common CSE curricula that meets these standards and also incorporate Porn Literacy, that’s where the porn discussions get smuggled in.
A perfect example of Porn Literacy in CSE curriculum is "Porn: Fact or Fiction," a video by Amaze that aligns with the above Framework standards. Watch the video for yourself here (but fair warning... don't watch it with kids around!):
This video, which is geared toward kids as young as 9 years old, depicts nude adult porn stars engaged in sexual activity. It shows a curious child watching porn on her computer and says: “Being curious about sex and looking at pictures or films of naked bodies or people engaging in sexual behaviors is perfectly normal.”
It NEVER tells kids they shouldn't watch porn.
For the full analysis of the video and two other curriculum examples (of curricula found in MA schools!) that highlight how "media literacy" lessons can sexualize kids, check out THIS SUBSTACK POST.
Why Girls Become Boys (Video)
If you have a daughter, please watch this 5-minute video.
Adolescent girls are seeking to "change" their gender at an alarming rate. Why?
From the video:
How do you protect your daughter from being drawn into this dangerous and growing trend?
1. Limit their exposure to social media as much as you can.
2. Oppose the teaching of gender ideology in your kid's school.
3. Remember that a teenager is still just a teenager. Be the adult in the relationship and don't agree with all of their ideas.
Check out this upcoming event with detransitioner Katie Anderson!
Katie is a MA native who is speaking out about the dangers of transgender ideology. As a detransitioner herself (she formerly identified as a trans man) she has an incredibly powerful story and an important message for teens and adults alike. If you want to better understand the gender debate and the impact it has on today's youth and young adults, you won't want to miss this event!
From Massachusetts Family Institute:
Are you concerned about the woke agenda in our public schools? Wouldn’t it be great if our schools focused on reading, writing, and arithmetic instead of confusing young children about their gender? Join us on September 8th at 7 pm to hear what Massachusetts Family Institute and detransitioner Katie Anderson are doing to protect children and empower parents. Space is limited, so do not hesitate to register!

MIP, let's have a 'Serious Talk' about Lexington Public Schools
On July 11th, a group of "Concerned Lexington Parents" posted a petition on Change.org asking for the Lexington Public Schools to suspend the further implementation of Serious Talks, a curriculum starting in first grade that broaches topics like sexuality, gender identity, and other social justice-related topics.
If you haven't heard about Serious Talks yet, check out the petition HERE.
We applaud parents who are trying to engage in their districts using respectful, civil means like these Concerned Lexington Parents. But the Serious Talks petition got us wondering... what else is happening in Lexington Public Schools?
We decided to look deeper into the LPS, and what we found was an ideological rot that extends far beyond Serious Talks. Sadly, forcing 1st graders to read And Tango Makes Three is just the tip of the woke DEI iceberg in Lexington.
You won't want to miss our full analysis on this. There is important stuff here that parents need to see. To read more, click HERE.
Lexington's Superintendent has already stated that she will NOT allow parents to opt their littles out of gender indoctrination. Why not? Because legally she isn’t obligated to, conversations on sexuality and gender identity are interspersed throughout the curriculum SO MUCH that it would be too difficult to opt kids out, and really, she doesn’t want to anyway. Because “we believe our students must… be tolerant and respectful of multiple perspectives.”
(Except for your perspective, parent with traditional Judeo-Christian values. And except for your perspective, parent who believes in the gender binary.)
But don't take our word for it - click over to Substack to read the Superintendent's own words!
Lexington's issues are systemic, and they need to be exposed so that Lexington parents can fully appreciate what is happening at every level of their school system. The LPS has made it clear that they are laser-focused on undermining the values of parents who don't agree with their agenda, and they have no plans on stopping. Lexington Mama and Papa Bears, the LPS woke train has fully left the station. If your kids attend LPS, they are on the train. It is important that you know this so you can decide if you want to try and redirect the train or if you want to get your kid off the train entirely.
Even if you don't live in Lexington, what is happening there is important for you to know about too. Districts don't get woke-washed like Lexington overnight. It happens bit by bit, sometimes right under your nose. Not every MA district is as far off the rails as Lexington, but they all have the potential to go in this direction. Read about what's going on in Lexington so you'll know what to watch out for in your own district.
Concerned Lexington Parents, kudos for advocating for your kids. It takes a lot of courage to speak up in a district like yours. We stand with you.
Seriously.
Check out this new interview with Dr. Miriam Grossman, the psychiatrist from the "What is a Woman" documentary and author of the new book "Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist's Guide out of the Madness"
If you want to better understand the gender ideology debate, how transgenderism became so common within the younger generations, or how to help someone you love who has adopted a transgender identity, read THIS INTERVIEW (and then buy Dr. Grossman's book!).
Dr. Grossman has been a leading voice for sanity in the gender ideology craze. Her background as a child psychiatrist uniquely positions her to speak into the confusion and help us understand how best to move forward ideologically and practically within the realm of gender ideology.
From the article:
Dr. Grossman: "But anyway, getting back to the question of institutions, let’s discuss the American Academy of Pediatrics.
That is a major medical organization. It claims it has 67,000 members. I want parents to understand that when they go to their pediatrician, doctors are busy and we don’t have time to do research on every subject that we are supposed to know about. So, we are taught throughout our training, that we trust our professional organizations. Makes sense, right?
Interviewer: Yes.
Dr. Grossman: So, if someone comes to me with OCD, for example, and I want to find the latest recommendations regarding new medications and so forth, I’m going to go to the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and look it up. I’m going to trust what they have over there. Why not? Why shouldn’t I? Of course I’m going to trust them.
Now, the problem is when it comes to this issue of gender identity and being transgender; on this particular subject the organizations have been captured by activists.
They’re at the helm, they decide policy. That includes deciding which letters to the editor will be printed in the medical journals, which research articles will be accepted for publication, which topics will be discussed at annual meetings, and what doctors and parents across the country will be told to do."
