It’s time for another edition of the MIP Digest!
The MIP Digest is a regular feature where we share the great information that has been posted to the MIP Facebook group during the previous week. The MIP Digest won’t capture all of the interesting comments and conversations that happen in the Facebook group, but it will include the highlights and provide a quick overview of the content, in case you missed it.

The Sex Ed Mandate will be on the move soon. This bill would mandate for any school district that chooses to teach sex ed that they teach ONLY a Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) model. CSE is the harmful model of sex ed that is highlighted in this group. To learn more, search the group for "Sex Ed Mandate" or "CSE" to read previous posts about this issue.

Here is the information about this bill that was sent out by Massachusetts Family Institute on Friday:
Planned Parenthood-backed leftists at the State House, led by Representative Jim O’Day, (D-West Boylston) and Senator Sal DiDomenico (D-Everett) are boasting that they may finally be able to pass the radical, pornographic Sex Ed Mandate bill, HB544/SB268, titled An Act Relative to Healthy Youth.
They may be right!

Rep. O’Day has been doing Planned Parenthood’s bidding for ten years in his attempt to get this legislation passed. The election of pro-abortion Governor Healey has raised his hopes for passage.
During the past two legislative cycles, the State Senate has passed the Sex Ed Mandate, but it has always stalled in the House of Representatives.
Rep. O’Day recently projected in an ARTICLE from the State House News, that since we now have a governor who likely won’t veto the bill, he only needs 81 votes to pass it.
If passed, the legislation in HB544/SB268 would allow the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) to mandate a controversial sex education framework for public schools across the state.
Currently, local schools can decide for themselves what and when to teach the children in their community about sex, based on the unique needs of their student populations and the desires of their parents. This bill would eliminate that control.
Most concerning, the curriculum already approved by DESE would expose children to graphic content such as how to engage in high-risk sexual activities like anal and oral sex. It would also teach young girls how to get an abortion without parental knowledge or consent.

We expect a hearing to be called shortly. After the hearing, the Sex Ed Mandate could be brought for a vote at any time.
Parent Alert: "Teach Truth Day of Action" might be coming to your child's school this week!
And by "Teach Truth," they mean "Teach Controversial, Radical, Sexualized Ideology."
"Teach Truth Day of Action" is an activist event that encourages public school teachers to indoctrinate their students in gender ideology and divisive social justice dogma. Despite its obvious political bias and lack of balanced perspectives, this event is being heavily promoted by the NEA. Check out what the NEA says about this event HERE.

On both of these links you'll see a map where you can zoom in and see which communities are offering a "Teach Truth" event. There are several events taking place in Massachusetts - two of which have ties to public school systems (and there may be more by the end of the week).
Swampscott parents: your town is listed as having a "school-wide event", yet we couldn't find any information on the district website or social media. What school is this talking about? And on what day will the activist brainwashing take place? We think you should contact your district and find out!
Martha's Vineyard parents: Edgartown is listed as having a "free digital book copy to honor the Teach Truth day of action" being made available by "Borders to Bridges" from June 5-June 10th. Borders to Bridges writes curriculum that is used in your public schools (see article below). Is this free digital book being made available to your students? What digital book IS it, exactly? Call your school and find out what this means, and how it might impact your child.

We believe firmly in the importance of teaching truth every day. But radical activists like the Zinn Education Project play fast-and-loose with the concept of "truth." Since the NEA has shown that their allegiance is to political ideologies and not to education, parents are forced to be vigilant against false and dangerous ideas being crammed down on their kids. We encourage you to contact your school and see if they are participating in the "Teach Truth Day of Action" or related events.

Salem Public Schools want to know about your pre-K child’s gender identity and preferred pronouns
Salem public schools are asking a child’s gender identity and preferred pronouns on their pre-K intake forms.
Seriously? This dangerous charade must stop.
The New Boston Post reached out to MIP’s Mary Ellen Siegler for comment. Here’s her quote from the article:
Asking about the preferred pronouns of a preschool-aged child is part of an effort to normalize the idea that children can decide what gender they are or that they may have been born in the wrong body. I raised three children. The only way a child would question their gender at such a young age is if the possibility of a transgender identification was presented to them by an adult or if they were experiencing mental distress and confusion related to trauma. The former is psychological abuse. In the latter case, the child needs compassionate care and help to align their thoughts with the reality of their biology.
The Salem school district should cease any efforts to normalize transgender identifications for children. Doing so may lead to further harm if these children eventually seek irreversible and harmful medical interventions. There is a growing number of young detransitioners sharing their tragic stories of regret about the irreparable damage done to their bodies from powerful transgender drugs and surgeries to remove healthy body parts. Many of them report the profound betrayal they feel when they realize that instead of being protected by the adults in their lives they were enabled by them to persist in a lie that has wielded tragic life-long consequences that they now must face.
Salem school officials must consider the potential harm they are doing to children by setting them up to believe the transgender lie.
The New Boston Post is one of the few local news sources that I know of that are exposing the truth about harmful indoctrination and agendas in MA schools. If you haven’t subscribed yet, please do!
