It’s time for another edition of the MIP Digest!
The MIP Digest is a regular feature where we share the great information that has been posted to the MIP Facebook group during the previous week. The MIP Digest won’t capture all of the interesting comments and conversations that happen in the Facebook group, but it will include the highlights and provide a quick overview of the content, in case you missed it.
First, here are the posts from our Admins:
Parents: Do you know about “Sextortion?”
Brian Montgomery lost his 16-year old son Walker to suicide last December. While suicide is rarely expected (and always tragic), Walker's suicide was especially shocking because his entire journey from being a happy, well-adjusted teen to ending his own life happened all in one night.
There were no warning signs, and no risk factors other than three things that are common to countless teens: raging hormones, unsupervised use of their cellphone, and access to social media.
Walker's parents never saw this coming. Now to prevent similar tragedies in other families, they are telling the world about what happened to Walker.
Read Walker's story HERE.
And watch (or listen to) an interview with his father, Brian, here:
The interview is long, but well worth the listen. It has the most details about what happened to Walker and how you can protect your kids from a similar experience.
Even adults fall for online schemes, and teens are even more vulnerable. Sometimes knowledge is the best defense, because you can't protect your kids from threats you don't know exist. Read (and share!) Walker's story to keep your kids safe, and help other parents do the same.
(And our heartfelt thank-you's to the Montgomery family for bravely sharing Walker's story. May his memory be a blessing.)
Mr. Beast is Introducing Millions of Children to Transgenderism Without Parental Consent
(And if you don't know who Mr. Beast is, ask your kids!)
True story: When I started to see tweets about "Mr. Beast" pop up on conservative twitter over the last week, I didn't know who he was at first. One of the tweets I read said something like: "If you don't know who Mr. Beast is, ask your kids!" So I did.
And yes, despite MY ignorance, my kid knew exactly who Mr. Beast is.
As it turns out, most kids know ALL about Mr. Beast. He has an incredibly popular Youtube show where he and his band of buddies go on adventures and try fun challenges. His channel has a reputation for being child-friendly, charitable, and positive (or at least, benign). Even though his channel has 147 MILLION subscribers, many parents don't know who he is (I've talked to other parents since then who had never heard of him either), or they have no concerns about their kids watching his videos.
This is why articles like THIS are so important. Parents have a right to know when a kid-friendly, apolitical show changes its tune and begins to include controversial elements. Mr. Beast's friend Chris, who is a major player on the Youtube channel, now embraces a transgender identity and is taking feminizing hormones. The changes in Chris's appearance are obvious to regular viewers, including your kids. This is happening in plain sight, but unless you watch the show yourself, you might not know about it.
So ask your kids if they know about Mr. Beast or if they watch his videos. Have a conversation with them about this issue, and then do whatever is necessary to guard them against gender confusion and the normalization of transgender ideology.

Parent Alert: Porn Found in School Databases EBSCO and Gale
Parents, does your child's school give students access to EBSCO and Gale databases for homework and research? If so, then you must check out the website, Pornography Is Not Education immediately.
PINE has discovered that young students are being exposed to hardcore porn through these databases.
Watch the short video highlighting some of the graphic content that was found. PINE did the work of covering up portions of the images. But what they have found is incredibly disturbing.
Barnstable High School is mentioned in this video!
After you’re done watching this, check out the full Pornography Is Not Education WEBSITE to learn more about where pornographic material is cropping up in educational databases, and how you can guard your children against these influences.
For a more comprehensive hour-long presentation on this topic given by the executive director of PINE, click HERE.
This information will help you protect your kids. Please make time to follow these links and learn more.
