Democrats For An Informed Approach To Gender (DIAG), a non-partisan group, will host an X Space on Monday, February 23rd, 7-9pmEST/4-6pmPacific, about the “trans” indoctrination going on in schools all over the country, in red states as well as blue. Author Anita Bartholomew and on-the-front-lines public school teacher Arienne Adamcikova will be the guests. The tales, the facts, even for those of us steeped in this stuff, are shocking.

Just a correction. A human child's sex is determined when that child is conceived. It is observed and recorded at birth or before, usually correctly. There are two good books about this topic, both by the same author, Zachary Elliott, both of which are being suppressed by MA public libraries. There is one copy of "Binary: Debunking the Sex Spectrum Myth" at the Boston Public Library, but it is always out. Several libraries in the Merrimack Valley Consortium refused to purchase that book when I requested it. Three libraries have refused or ignored my request to purchase his second book which came out recently, "The Sex Development Handbook", two in the Merrimack Valley Library Consortium and also the Boston Public Library (where I have an e-card). Please try requesting that your library purchase this book, and let me know if they refuse. Thanks. Here is the link to Zachary Elliott's website where you can see that these books are valuable, informative, and appropriate for any pubic library. https://theparadoxinstitute.org/books
The Paradox Institute also has a kids book which is guaranteed to be scientifically correct and which I'm sure that the author has worked to make age-appropriate as well. Also unavailable in MA libraries, last I checked. Request!
My mother is 84, and a retired public school teacher. She loves to kibitz with her small group of retired colleagues and talk about "the old days"..... and they have pooh-poo'ed this information for years, insisting "teachers would never allow anything like that to go on!" They truly believe that the teachers of today....the politicians of today.....are like they all were forty years ago. What is happening now is so far off the rails away from the commonsense track that society used to follow that it is absolutely incomprehensible to people like them, therefore they dismiss it as impossible. And that idealism is exactly what has allowed this despicable agenda to flourish.
I agree. People have a malfunctioning sanity checker. Mine was operating, incorrectly, when I first heard about the Colorado baker. I wasn't told the specifics...I thought it was someone in a small town in a crazy state like Vermont pursuing a kindergarten vendetta, an aberration. I was horrified when I learned what was really going on. I think it wasn't until 2020 that I actually tracked down the whole story of what he has been being put through, for over a decade now. Now I'm ready to believe anything, no matter how crazy it sounds at first, because likely it's true and here.
The essential legal problem is that schools are commencing a mental health treatment plan without the consent or knowledge of the parent or guardian. I assume medical treatments (I consider these to be a form of psychological torture) are under a provision that only legal guardians can make such decisions.
I would claim that
603 CMR 28.09 (Special Education Regulations)
• Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) regulations
• And case law following the Judge Rotenberg Center litigation
Aversive interventions are:
• Either prohibited
• Or subject to extreme limitations
• And cannot be implemented casually
In most Massachusetts public schools, aversive therapy as a behavioral method is effectively prohibited.
I would consider emotional conditioning to opposite sex and name change, with social support a type of aversion therapy.
It may feel easier to look away than to grapple with questions this complicated, especially when they involve children, families, and schools we want to trust.
Yet, this article raises questions that extend well beyond gender transition itself. Are outside organizations being given access to captive public school audiences, and under what terms? If groups that may benefit from increased demand for certain services are also presenting information about them, it can create the appearance of advocacy rather than neutral education. When the subject involves pathways that could lead to costly, lifelong medical decisions framed as personal fulfillment, strict transparency and independent oversight are essential.
A central question is who decides, under what authority, and with what safeguards. Much of the current framework appears designed to ensure affirmation and confidentiality, but it is less clear what protections exist for children who may be vulnerable to suggestion, confusion, or rapid escalation, or for families who are unaware that significant matters are being addressed without their knowledge. Safeguards should operate in all directions, not only toward one preferred outcome.
Under what circumstances is it considered acceptable to withhold critical information from parents, and are families told such policies exist? If the risk is truly grave enough to justify secrecy, decisions of that magnitude should rest on formal legal standards and court oversight, not discretionary judgments within a school.
Public education depends on delegated parental trust. Policies that alter that relationship require exceptional clarity, legal grounding, and accountability. These are not partisan questions but fundamental ones about transparency, consent, and the proper role of schools in children’s lives.
This brings to mind the teachers who justify keeping secrets from parents because it's not "safe" for them to find out their kids are identifying as trans. Yet, those same teachers are mandated reporters who are legally required to notify authorities if they believe a child is in danger... but they don't. They keep the secret instead. It's so obvious that the "safety" concern is not real, because if they really truly believed that they were the only thing standing between a child and parents who might harm them, they would be required to report that.
Complicated emotions and differing views about what it means to protect children seem to have made it difficult for some people to even consider that an affirmation-only approach could carry risks as well as benefits.
Bryan Wagner’s article, “How the Loss of the Common Humanity Approach Is Hurting Trans-Identifying Youth,” argues that a strong focus on identity can overshadow basic principles of childhood development and mental health care, urging that distressed young people be seen first as children, not categories.
What safeguards exist for children who are confused, isolated, or highly suggestible and may need comprehensive support rather than a single pathway?
I grew up in a town about 15 minutes from Leominster. Many of my older relatives were born and raised their families there. Both of my younger sisters were born at Leominster Hospital before it closed its maternity ward.
I went to nursing school in Fitchburg, the city right next to it.
This is disgusting but not surprising. Glad we moved to Georgia 42 years ago.
Yes, and Leominster is not the worst district in MA, by far. No state is safe from this ideology, but you are less likely to find the administrative support for it in a red state.
It's an agenda this is why it was pushed in the education system and hospitals worldwide, it's to normalize paedophilia and claim children have mental illness. Who profits off of this? Castration doesn’t turn a child into the opposite gender.
Therapists are disgusting they are predators, they are gaslighters, they are rapists, they are paedophiles.
They are mentally insane and projecting it onto others by claiming they have a mental illness. Drug-pushers, child predators, and liars.
Gender-Affirming care is meant to brainwash kindergartners and preschoolers into thinking they were born wrong by going to a therapist who tells them if you like xyz you're meant to be the opposite gender and castration and sex hormones will save you little five year old.
The problem is that the mental health industry are the ones who created childhood transgenderism in the first place and forced for it to be taught at schools. It isn't a mental illness it's brainwashing. Enforced by “professionals” therefor you cannot trust the mental health industry.
Saying it's a mental problem is blaming the child for them being exploited by this industry. The psychiatrists hand out puberty blockers and now they are handing out pills for "the problem" THEY ARE THE PROBLEM
I don't know why this is so hard for many people to understand this connect the dots that psychiatrists, therapists, and medical doctors who created all of these adolescent sexuality programs are mentally ill paedophiles but instead ya'll will call the baby mentally ill and continue to support the medical industry.]
Protective services will also take a child even younger than a teenager to "protect their trans identity" because protective services get commissions for claiming children are either trans or retarded. All of this mental illness stuff is meant to take advantage of children and it is FAKE. They are the problem.

Gah! What a word to get wrong. Yeah, we totally agree it's conception. Fixed it. Thanks for finding the error!

Completely agree.

All excellent points!
Why not schools, indeed.

In California, it’s STATE LAW that schools CANNOT inform parents. Has Massachusetts copied that law? Most blue states have.
Not specifically, no. Though no doubt they would love to.
