Massachusetts Informed Parents isn’t just interested in pointing out the problems in MA public schools, but we actively work to create and support solutions to the crisis in education. Since 2019 we have equipped parents to protect their kids from sexualization and indoctrination in school through…
sharing relevant research on curriculum,
reporting on real stories happening in MA schools,
helping parents communicate effectively to their school officials,
creating resources that inform on the issues, and
inspiring the formation of local parent coalitions, and more.
We have no plans to slow down our efforts either. In fact, just the opposite! Our FB group where MIP began continues to grow and now, we have expanded our reach here on Substack and also on Twitter.
Sometimes the fight to protect kids in education can be discouraging. Parents all across MA are continually amazed that they have to show up to school committee meetings to state what should be obvious, that it is wrong to supply kids with books containing lewd descriptions of sex, violent acts of rape, normalization of transgenderism, drug use, and other extreme scenarios. It seems that not too long ago, responsible adults knew this. But now we find ourselves having to instruct the adults in charge of safeguarding our children in school in what is appropriate for them. And the graphic content in school libraries isn’t the only problem parents are confronting. The undermining of parental rights, social emotional learning, political diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts, revisionist history, transgender bathroom policies and more are effectively separating children from their parents and teaching kids to hate God and their country. Just this past week the superintendent in Abington defended his decision to put a book on sex apps, fetishes and orgies back in the school district’s libraries. The book is This Book is Gay by Juno Dawson. We’ve alerted parents about it before. Read the story about the Abington superintendent here and look at this flyer shared in MIP that describes content from the book.
MIP and the good parents of MA are not going to stop fighting to protect our kids. We fight forward. In a positive direction. With innovative solutions, effective strategies, and powerful knowledge. That’s why we are happy to share these upcoming events with you. We hope you take advantage of them and join the army of parents and concerned citizens who are protecting children in education.
School Committee Candidate and Campaign Training
If we want to promote policy that protects children and respects the rights of parents, we have to become the policy makers. Our friends at Massachusetts Family Institute (MFI) are offering a dynamic School Committee Candidate and Campaign Training, where you'll get the tools you need to run and win a campaign for school committee or other municipal office. Whether it’s list building, organizing volunteers, messaging, advertising, budgeting, or financial planning, this training will show you how it’s done. Click here to learn more and to register for an upcoming training. There are several dates and locations (even some virtual) available.
Community Celebration and Learning Center Tour
On Tuesday, February 28th, MFI in partnership with a Worcester church is hosting a night of celebration to honor the community volunteers working to grow the OPT OUT of pornographic sex ed movement. Almost 3,800 students have been opted out of graphic sex ed lessons in the city of Worcester this year, the most ever in the state’s history (read about it here)! This event is also the first stop on the Learning Center Tour visiting select towns and cities throughout the month of March and April. Come and discover this innovative schooling option. Perhaps you’d like to work with a group of area parents or a local church to start a learning center where you live! Click here for more information about the celebration event and the Learning Center Tour.
And finally, don’t miss the chance to hear from Carl Trueman, author of The Strange New World. On Wednesday, March 1st at 7 PM MFI will be hosting a virtual discussion of this important and timely book. Want to understand how transgenderism and pornographic material in school libraries became the norm? Then you don’t want to miss this event. Click here to learn more and to register to attend.
