Exposed: Uxbridge Public Schools loves gender ideology like a drag queen loves makeup.
Just when you thought the MA sex ed dumpster fire couldn't get any worse, Uxbridge enters the chat.
In MA, we see a lot of wild stuff coming out of the public schools. That’s why this Substack, and the Massachusetts Informed Parents Facebook group exists: to alert parents to what is happening in their schools so that they can know what is going on, and use that information to make informed parenting decisions and protect their kids.
Generally speaking, it takes a lot to surprise us. We already know that many MA districts are using ridiculously-inappropriate curricular resources like Amaze videos. We know that confusing and unscientific gender indoctrination tools, like The Genderbread Person, are popping up left and right in MA classrooms. We know that far too many schools are basing their sex ed programs on the activist-written and misleadingly-named National Sex Ed Standards. When any of these standards or resources pop up in a school district, parents have a good reason to be concerned (and dig deeper).
Uxbridge parents, somehow your district checked all of these boxes (and more).
Fortunately for you, Uxbridge mom and dad, some of the digging has already been done for you. Massachusetts Family Institute submitted a Public Records Request to the Uxbridge Public Schools as part of the MFI Sex Ed Map project, and you can read their analysis (and all of the PRR documents) HERE. You’re definitely going to want to see this analysis, Uxbridge folks, because even if you don’t have a child in the UPS currently, you have a right to see what type of education your tax dollars are funding. (And for the record, the UPS dragged their feet turning this information over to MFI. But now we’ve seen it, and you get to see it too).
We won’t go through Uxbridge’s whole sex ed curriculum in this post. For the deep dive, go on over to the Sex Ed Map ANALYSIS and read it there. But here’s a taste of what you will find, and why you should want to know more about what Uxbridge thinks is appropriate for a classroom full of minors. (Not an Uxbridge parent? You should read this too, so when an uninformed newbie or gaslighting troll tries to tell you that crazy gender woo-woo never happens in MA public schools, you can show them this post.)
First, check out this slide from the 6th grade Reproductive Systems: Anatomy and Physiology slideshow.
Now, you might point out, this isn’t gender ideology. You are correct. Yet, allow me to remind you that 6th graders are 11 years old. 12, tops. Isn’t this level of detail a little much for a mixed-sex classroom of 11s? These are kids who still play Minecraft in their free time. Do they really need to be discussing the Pudendum?
From the same 6th grade slideshow, kids learn what a D&C is. Considering there is almost zero reason that a 6th grader would need a D&C, and that the D&C procedure is commonly used as a form of abortion, we think parents should really want to know why information like this is necessary for kids this age.
But let’s move on, because while there’s red-flag-worthy material at every age level, it’s really the 8th Grade Human Sexuality slideshow that takes the metaphorical (rotten) cake.
You see, the 8th grade slideshow is obsessed with two things: consent, and LGBTQ/Gender Ideology.
First, let’s talk consent.
Consent, generally speaking, is included as a part of Comprehensive Sexuality Education curricula under the guise of protecting kids from sexual abuse, molestation, or date rape (or unwittingly date raping someone). And of course, those all sound like good things to protect kids from.
But in reality, sexual abuse, molestation and date rape are all examples of when consent should not be, or is not, given. Yet when consent is talked about in many CSE lessons, it’s mostly talked about in the affirmative sense. Here is an example from the 8th grade Human Sexuality slideshow:
Now might be a good time to remind the reader that 8th graders aren’t legally old enough to consent to sexual activity. Someone might also need to remind the Uxbridge Public Schools, because this same slideshow doesn’t say anything about the fact that the kids who are looking at this graphic are NOT legally old enough to consent to sex.
And the kids who took this class didn’t seem to get the message that they aren’t legally old enough to consent to sex, either. Because the PRR information also included an 8th Grade Health Feedback sheet, where the kids who took the class had an opportunity to tell the teacher what they learned. There are lots of comments like this one, but none that demonstrate any understanding of the fact that 8th graders are not legally old enough to consent to sex in the state of MA:
So, 8th graders think that having sex is healthy, as long as their partner consents to it. What if their partner is 10? What if their partner is 30? Based on the student feedback from this unit, these kids don’t seem to have gotten the message that their age, or the age of their sexual partner, should be a factor at all.
That’s a problem. And as the infomercial says, “But wait. There’s more.”
Because the other (and much larger) section of this 8th Grade Human Sexuality slideshow is all about LGBTQ issues and gender ideology. And we aren’t talking about lessons that teach a general overview of human differences, like “some people are different than others, and our school is a diverse community, so all of our students need to respect people who are different than themselves.”
No, we’re talking about straight up, unscientific, biased-as-all-get-out indoctrination.
These slides are only a taste of what is contained in this ridiculous slideshow.
First up: their definition of sexual orientation states that it is a “Natural part of who you are, occurs before birth” yet “can change over your lifetime.” Not only is zero percent of this scientifically proven, it doesn’t even make sense logically.
But our friends at the UPS aren’t burdened by science or logic, as their slides continue to demonstrate.
So according to the UPS, a person born biologically male and attracted to women can identify as a woman and become a “lesbian.” And a person born biologically male who is attracted to men is “heterosexual” if he identifies as a woman.
Clearly this is nonsense. But let’s keep going.
In the top slide, kids are told that using “proper pronouns” (i.e. preferred pronouns, which are NOT actually PROPER pronouns - there’s some Orwellian language for you!) “shows individuals they are value(d).” So in other words, play the game, kids. Girls, be nice to the “lesbian” with a penis. You wouldn’t want to make “her” feel bad by telling anyone that “she” makes you uncomfortable when “she” changes with you in the girls’ locker room.
The bottom slide depicts being "transgender” as just as common as being “cisgender,” which of course is not even remotely close to true. And then, those who identify as “transgender” are arrowed right over to “gender transition” (more about that later).
The slideshow goes on to incorporate two videos about gender identity. The first one, Range of Gender Identities by Amaze, we have analyzed previously HERE. It’s a doozy, and parents really need to watch it. But this next one is so much worse.
Behold, What is a Woman? - Defining Gender Identity. AKA, seven minutes of complete and utter brainwashing (not to be confused with the better-known What is a Woman? documentary, which actually respects science and logic).
This video is an ideological dumpster fire. If you put an ad on Craigslist and hired a random, acid-dropping child predator to create a video that grooms children into gender confusion, this might be the video they would come up with.
The thumbnail above is bad enough (what 13 year old needs to wonder if they are ‘pangender?’). But let’s keep going.
This is what someone tells kids when they want to confuse them.
And this.
And this.
And this.
On this one, notice the scary ghost and bat? They are there to show you how spooky Gender Dysphoria is. So spooky, in fact, that kids should see surgery as a reasonable option “to help ease gender dysphoria.”
This screenshot is, indeed, scary. It is scary because it normalizes the surgical removal of the healthy body parts of minor children.
I wonder if the Uxbridge Public Schools will be named in a lawsuit in the future, when one of their students goes through a medical transition, regrets it, becomes a detransitioner and sues their doctor (and everyone else who led them down this path of lies)? I suppose time will tell.
And of course, since this video leaves no groomer stone unturned, it also puts drag queens under the umbrella of “gender identity” and even introduces specific adult performers to their captive audience of 13 year olds.
This is done all in the name of tolerance, of course. And when parents raise concerns about kids being exposed to this type of content, they are often told that it doesn’t groom kids into gender confusion, it just helps kids be kind to others. And yet, here’s another comment from the 8th Grade Health Feedback sheet:
Any responsible adult would be completely horrified by the fact that a child sat through this curriculum and came out believing that human beings have the ability to choose their sex like they choose their hair style. And any responsible adult would completely understand how children would be so profoundly and devastatingly confused after sitting through this curricular abomination of a class.
The only question is, are there any responsible adults who work at the Uxbridge Public Schools brave enough to step up and fix this?
I suppose time will tell for that, too.
Uxbridge parents, you have got to opt your kids out of this bonkers sex ed. This post has only covered a portion of Uxbridge’s sex ed curriculum. Look at the FULL ANALYSIS of the information MFI received from your district. For some of the grade levels, UPS only returned partial information. If the information they returned is this extreme, what did they leave out? Find out today so you can protect your kids.
Oh, and one more thing. You’re going to have to look into what they are teaching in other areas as well, not just sex ed.
This video was also in the 8th Grade Human Sexuality slideshow, but it’s about “LGBTQ History.”
This video is not history, it is activist propaganda that, amongst an array of falsehoods and misleading oversimplifications, blames Christians for starting “homophobia.”
And, of course, LGBTQ history isn’t technically “sex ed.” So if you, Uxbridge parent, opted your child out of sex ed, would they still make your child watch this video?
Maybe. We’re not sure.
But even if the teacher does allow your child to opt out of this one video, if this schlock is what qualifies as “history” in Health class, what other biased resources are being used in other classes?
Unfortunately, despite the fact that there are some wonderful folks who work in every public school system, Uxbridge’s apparent lack of curricular judgement demonstrates yet again why responsible parents can no longer simply “trust the professionals.”
Questions must be asked. Students must be protected. Parents must demand better.
It’s a big job, mom and dad, but you’re the best person for it. And you’ve got us in your corner.

Here’s a bit of encouragement for public school parents (it’s not always bad news, friends!).
A great new book has come out called Raising Conservative Kids in a Woke City. This book is easy to read and packed full of practical tips on how to help your child navigate a progressive school district without going off the rails themselves.
You can read more about the book HERE.
And you can watch a fun interview with Katy Faust, one of the authors, here:
